Sneak Peek: runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Merchandise!

0

Next week, January 8-12, is the annual runDisney Disney Marathon Weekend at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Runners from all over will come to participate in one of the many runs taking place. From 5k- a Full Marathon, there is something for everyone.

Disney is also offering a bunch of great Marathon merchandise for those attending the event. You can find these items at the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. These items will go on sale Wednesday, January 8th.

Here are the hours for the Expo and merchandise location:

  • Wednesday, January 8, 2020: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 9, 2020: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Friday, January 10, 2020: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, January 11, 2020: 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Let’s take a look!

For 2020, the merchandise collection “captures the retro side of the classic Disney characters, celebrating the “Fab Five” (and Oswald!)”

I love that they are including Oswald!

The new runDisney Minnie ears are so cute! They are a race weekend exclusive!

Of course there are Spirit Jerseys! One of my favorite things.

This year there will be two new runDisney Spirit Jersey’s coming out. One featuring the “Fab Five” and one with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (we named our cat Oswald after him!)

Plus there’s more!

Make sure you get there early. The lines for the merchandise can get long and if you leave you have to wait in line again to re-enter. I missed out on runDisney Star Wars jersey’s last year because I thought I could just walk in whenever.  But if it is busy you will wait in line to enter and people are all over in the merchandise area.

I highly recommend participating in a runDisney event. They have something for everyone from the un-timed 5K, to kids races to half and full marathons. You can even participate in virtual runs from your own home.

Personally I’ve done two 5K runs at the parks and some of the virtual runs. I am not an athlete. The 5k can be walked or run. It’s a family event and most could participate. If you think you couldn’t do it, you might be surprised to find you can (with a doctor’s clearance of course.) Something to consider!

Visit the runDisney site for more information about upcoming runDisney and Virtual runDisney events!
