Another day of hot releases and another day of Shop Disney not being able to handle the demand.
For May the 4th Disney advertised they would have a Shop Disney Star Wars event that would go live at 7 AM PST/ 10AM EST and like we’ve seen with the Joe Rohde ears and Minnie Mouse the Main Attraction collections, rare items were gone quickly while many couldn’t even load the page.
This time Disney was going to put a special “waiting room” in an attempt to keep it “fair.” I never even say the waiting room until 11 minutes after it went live.
Of course the special Key and Ahsoka ears sold out immediately and are already on eBay. So much for stopping the shop bots from taking all the items at launch. Instead regular guests are stuck in a limbo of the waiting room, and check-out Hell.
Of course Twitter blew up:
People are getting fed up with Shop Disney. I’m not sure what they answer is, but they need to do something to stop the shop bots.
