We have a bit of potential news for you all regarding the upcoming Space 220 restaurant coming to Epcot.
The fine folks at WDWInfo has just posted that they are hearing the opening date of the restaurant will not be Winter as originally planned, but March 30, 2020 instead.
We knew there were delays with the opening partially due to a changing in staff after the original chef decided to take a different position. Most people believed the opening would be sometime in February, but now it’s look like it could be late March.
Space 220 will be located between Mission Space and Test Track and it takes it’s name from the story that the restaurant is 220 miles above Earth.
Guest will board an “elevator” that will take them up into “space.”
All the “windows’ of the restaurant will be screens that put the guests in space with Earth below.
No word yet on menus or confirmation on the exact date, but WDWInfo is pretty reliable. I have been checking for the menu and opening date and I will continue to do so.
What do you think? Comment and let us know!
