Johnny Depp has been losing roles after he lost is libel case against ‘The Sun.’ First he was dropped from the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts 3” film and the rumor was that Disney was dropping him from appearing in an upcoming ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film as well.
Now it seems that Jerry Bruckheimer is trying to get Disney to keep Johnny Depp in the “Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise.
Bruckheimer has been a supporter of Depp for awhile and have worked together on other projects.
We do know that there were going to be two films coming to the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise with one being a female led film with Margo Robbie and screenwriter Christina Hodson. The other film being developed by Ted Elliott and Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin, was rumored to have Johnny Depp in it, in a smaller role. Bruckheimer is said to be the producer on both films.
Now it’s all up in the air about Depp returning, but Bruckheimer is allegedly trying to get him back in. Frankly, Disney should listen because the fanbase seems to be asking for more Captain Jack Sparrow.
