This is a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt. However, if true, it is really exciting for Star Wars fans! If true Harrison Ford may return for an upcoming Star Wars project on Disney+.
According to Giant Freaking Robot Ford recently filmed scenes for an unknown Star Wars show. They are guessing it could be The Mandalorian: Season 3 or The Book of Boba Fett. They are also saying that de-aging technology, like we saw with Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian: Season 2, was likely used for the project.
We also know they were using de-aging tech for the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 film so it could easily be done as they would already have what they would need to de-age Harrison Ford as Han Solo since they used it for Indiana Jones.
Many believed Harrison Ford wouldn’t return for more Star Wars as it has been widely rumored that he came back for The Force Awakens with the stipulation that his character be killed off. Mark Hamill also seemed to indicate that he was done with Star Wars after The Rise of Skywalker. Honestly, who could blame him?
But thankfully we got Luke back again, at least that one time, but many fans are hoping Hamill comes back for more.
I remember when we were at one of the Star Wars runDisney weekends, the MC asked many fans who their favorite Star Wars character was and “Han Solo” won by a landslide. I’m sure fans would be very excited if is indeed true, especially since no one thought it would be a good idea to put Han, Luke and Leia together in The Force Awakens, when that was literally what fans expected and were waiting for. Now, sadly, that will never happen without CGI as Carrie Fisher is no longer with us.
Again this is all just a rumor, but I would love to see Harrison Ford back as Han Solo and I would really love to see Han and Luke together again.
I sincerely hope this rumor is true, however no one really saw Luke Skywalker coming so I have to wonder how this would have gotten leaked if it were true?
We will just have to wait and see I guess.
