Rumor: Disneyland’s New Annual Pass Replacement Could Roll Out Next Month?

I have a new rumor for you guys today.  Of course Disney has not confirmed this so take it with a whole block of salt.  According to Theme Park Pulse The Game, Disneyland could be rolling out it’s Annual Pass / or “Loyalty Program” in July.

Previously, the Disneyland Annual Pass program was cancelled and guests were refunded for their unused time. While they wait for their new program, they were switched to a “Legacy Passholder” status that they can use for some discounts, but not park entry.

Got to make sure they were getting full price on all those tickets as they knew it would mostly be the locals, using their APs to return upon reopening.  In classic Disney fashion they said it was for demand reasons and to make it better for the guests. It just happens to net them far more money too.

According to a reporter on the Theme Park Pulse The Game podcast, and he has it recorded if you listen below, he was attempting to enter Disneyland when he accidentally pulled out his Annual Pass instead of his ticket.

The Cast Member jokes that they “don’t accept those anymore.” Then says “Nope. Next month we’ll have a new AP program.”

You can hear the conversation below:

Of course the Cast Member could have been misinformed and things sometimes change. But it’s an interesting catch and full credit to them for catching it!

Now let’s hope the new program is a good deal and not a higher price tag for less, which seems to be the way Disney keeps heading.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
