Note: The Following Report is a RUMOR and should be taken with a Grain of Salt.
Captain America is considered to be one of Marvel’s top characters. Ever since his debut back in 1941, with the issue of him punching Nazi Germany’s Adolf Hitler, he has been a sign of leadership, justice and American pride, some say Marvel’s equivalent to Superman in terms of hope and inspiration.
Starting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, actor Chris Evans has been a fan favorite for playing the humble New Yorker turned super solder who fought in World War II and eventually became the leader of the Avengers. With his character being seemingly retired in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, many fans have wondered if he would ever make another appearance after that.
A recent rumor states that Chris Evans is possibly returning to the role for a Disney Plus Show. If he would be the main star of an all new show or simply appearing in an already existing show like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier is currently unknown.
The report says that the series will follow Steve as he travels through time returning the Infinity Stones to their rightful place in the time stream, possibly even bumping into The Red Skull.
Again this is a rumor, so the chances of this being true are roughly 50/50.
If this rumor does have merit to it the show most likely won’t appear until Phase 5, which will be a few years away. I don’t recommend getting your hopes up on this one as Kevin Feige himself says most of the heroes we previously followed in the last 3 Phases likely won’t reappear for some time.
But it is an interesting idea for a show with a character and actor people really like.
