He will be joining the cast with Josh Gad, who is set to play the son of Moranis’s Wayne Szalinski character.
Joe Johnston, is also returning as the director for this new version. David Hoberman is producing it with Todd Rosenberg writing the script.
But what I’m most excited about is that Rick Moranis is returning! The last live-action movie he was in was Honey We Shrunk Ourselves back in 1997.
I can’t tell you how excited I am about this. I’ve been wishing he would come back for awhile now, but I did not think he would. Growing up in the 80’s he was in so many things that I really enjoyed. This news has just made my day!
Normally I would mention that we don’t need yet another “redo” from Disney, but this seems more like a sequel then and we get Rick Moranis back so I will support this one!
What to you think? Comment and let us know!
