Review: Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Family style and buffet restaurants are aplenty at Walt Disney World. When choosing which ones to partake in, one must look over the menu and decide if the restaurant has the food and flavors that appeal to them. I am a hardcore fan of Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Honestly, I had never heard of Sebastian’s Bistro until I was scrolling through available dining reservations. I’m glad that I took a chance on this dining experience.

Sebastian’s Bistro is located near the lobby of the Caribbean Beach Resort near the main pool. There is a great view of the Riviera Resort and the Skyliner when waiting outside the restaurant. Our reservation was for 7:10pm, and we were seated by 7:10pm.  The one thing I will point out is that at the time of our reservation, the air conditioning was seemingly not working on the restaurant. It led to the restaurant being somewhat uncomfortable to sit in. Our server did say that they have put work orders in for them to fix it. He said that he has hopes that it would be fixed soon. This was the only disappointing thing from this dining experience.

The menu for dinner is a price fixe price of $29 for adults and $17 for children. That nearly half the price of Ohana! We spent what we would spend on one person at Ohana for both of us to eat.

Sebastian’s Bistro offer a family style meal where you can request more of an item that you like again like Ohana. We ordered both the regular and plant based options to make sure we got to experience it all.

Your meal starts with pull apart rolls with guava butter and a caramelized onion jam. Both were delicious add ons to the roll. The Spice Necklace Salad was next, and my husband and I devoured it. We ordered a second salad because it was bright and delicious. It has mixed greens, kale, grilled pineapple, orange, spiced candied walnut, radish, and a key lime dressing.

Your entree includes three different meats: Mojo shredded pork, oven roasted chicken, and grilled flank steak. While the plant based protein options are Impossible Kebobs, Fried Jerk Tofu, and Impossible Sausage. All of the dinner sides are vegan and delicious: Vegetable Curry, grilled Broccolini, and Cilantro Rice and Red Beans. You can request more of any item when you finish. We asked for more tofu, broccolini, and chicken as they were all delicious. We even got to take leftovers home.

Dessert is a Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream and a caramel sauce. This was a perfect finale to a great dinner.

Our server, VJ, was personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. He made our experience dining at Sebastian’s Bistro delightful and fun.

Overall, I highly recommend visiting Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney Caribbean Beach Resort as another option for family style dining. We were impressed with the service and the food. Hopefully, the air conditioning gets fixed soon. Don’t overlook this experience when you line up your next Disney dining experiences.

Have you ever eaten at Sebastian’s Bistro? What was your experience?
