Walt Disney World is notorious for taking a substantial measure of time to launch new attractions. Based on cultural and economic circumstances over last two years, this has caused attractions such as the Tron Coaster, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to be delayed even by Disney standards. Rumors are rampant about when two of these attractions will open, however we know Remy’s will open to the public October 1st, 2021.
The entire area around the Remy’s attraction has been upgraded with fantastic Disney skill. Also, a new dining experience, La Creperie de Paris, was open for passholder previews. This dining option will offer counter service and table service. Stars of this menu are savory galettes and sweet crepes.
A scaled back version of the menu will be served via counter service window. However, the true experience is the table service dining.
Though the theming inside La Creperie de Paris is adequate, the food is what you are seeking. If you are looking for a good value on a table service meal with all the touches, this place could meet your needs.
You can order items independently but there is a Prix Fixe Menu option which is $33. It includes soup or salad, a savory galette, a dessert crepe, and choice of beverage (hard cider, soda, or juice). Since the beverages can be $6 and the galettes are about $16, this can be a good value.
I had some friends visit La Creperie de Paris during the passholder preview days for the Remy’s attraction. Afterwards, they enjoyed a table service meal. During their time, they had a few savory galettes and two sweet crepes.
The savory galettes are made with buckwheat, which is authentic to a specific region of France. They said the taste was good but not what they were expecting and the portion size was also good.
The ordered the Ratatouille variety since it seemed appropriate based on enjoying Remy’s attraction. However, they did not enjoy the Ratatouille galette but in fairness I have heard other reviews that said it was good, so your miles may vary.
They loved the Classique Galette which reminded them of breakfast with the ham, eggs, and Swiss cheese filling. It appears you could have a complete meal with just one galette but they did not stop there.
Next, they enjoyed the Pomme Sweet Crepe and the Gourmande Crepe. The clear winner was the Pomme which has a lovely caramelized apple filling. This was seen as an ideal ending to their meal. The Gourmande crepe was good consisting mostly of hazelnut chocolate but paled in comparison to Pomme version.
This dining location hasn’t opened yet this might be another fabulous addition to EPCOT culinary options (as if there were not enough already). This place is pricey for beverages and appetizers but if you order the Prix Fixe menu then that will help.
I would not recommend ordering a beverage if budget is a concern unless using Prix Frix option. If you feel need to order a beverage here without Prix Frix menu then the hard cider is better deal than most of the beverages. Bon Appetit!
