One of the best quick service options at Universal Studios Florida resides in the Springfield, USA area. The unique, and often noisy, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck offers three varieties of tacos. They sell pork carnitas tacos, carne asada tacos, and pollo (chicken) tacos. Since the chicken one sounds the most ordinary. I was hesitant to try these. To clarify, I enjoy the chicken tacos in their previous preparation method. However early in 2022, this taco truck changed the preparation style for these tacos.

The chicken tacos used to come with lettuce, some salsa, and cheese prepared more “American” style. The chicken tacos now come served with onions and cilantro. On the surface, this preparation method streamlines the process. Based on long queues that develop here, a streamlined process offers merit.

Since I previously enjoyed the pork and carne asada versions with new preparation style. I gained so much confidence from those experiences that I suggested to my friend, who runs The Vacationers Podcast, that the chicken version as a top snack at Universal Studios Florida.

So how were the chicken tacos? Like the other tacos here, the meat portion tastes better than would be expected at a theme park. Though I think the chicken quality dropped a bit from previous versions, that failed to take away from the dining experience. The onions and cilantro work very well with the chicken. Even though the chicken might have a bit more liquid smoke flavor than some would prefer the onions and cilantro handle that well. However, the portion size of tacos overall seems smaller than the previous version. Yet, the chicken portion appears larger.

The addition of taco sauce or hot sauce provided at this taco truck increases taco quality. The ingredients go well with the taco sauce. Make sure to get some at the pickup window when you get tacos. Also, the salsa provided now with the tacos adds to this experience.

If you want more authentic tacos, make a trip to Antojitos Authentic Mexican Cuisine. However, these tacos make a great light lunch or snack while touring Universal Studios Florida.

As always, eat like you mean it!
