Review: Cold Brew Black Caf Coffee

Coffee is a necessity in many people’s lives. At Disney guests must choose between either Starbucks or Joffrey’s Coffee. I have seen debates on which is better, but I think both have their merits. It truly depends on what you are looking for.

Recently, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge added a new Joffrey’s coffee option that is quite unique and different that first debuted at Disneyland.

Menu at Kat Saka’s Kettle

Located at Kat Saka’s Kettle, this cold brew coffee is called the Cold Brew Black Caf Coffee. It consists of Joffrey’s Black Cold Brew Coffee, sweet cream cheese, and topped with Cocoa Puffs. There is also a version with alcohol consisting of all the same with the addition of Godiva liqueur.

I never knew I needed Cocoa Puffs atop my cold brew. The crunch was interesting yet welcome. The sweet cream cheese and Cocoa Puffs make the coffee sweeter and adds a great chocolate flavor to the cold brew. I found the coffee delightful and delicious. My daughter loved picking the Cocoa Puffs off the top of my cold brew. Those were definitely all gone when I threw away the cup.

The price of the Cold Brew Black Caf Coffee is $5.49 and $14.00 for the spiked version. I felt the coffee was well worth the price.

As an added bonus at Kat Saka’s Kettle, we refilled our popcorn bucket with the Buttered Blue Grains. I didn’t think that I would be able to fill the popcorn bucket with a speciality popcorn, but I simply asked for clarification. I was told that it was the cheapest refill in the park at about $2.25. I don’t know if that’s entirely true because I refilled my popcorn bucket at Magic Kingdom for the same price. Fair warning, my daughters lips and fingers were blue after she ate this popcorn. I didn’t ask if we could get the other popcorn flavor, Outpost Popcorn Mix, as a refill because it consists of spicy and sweet components. I didn’t think my son or daughter would like that flavoring. The Blue Buttered Grains tasted just like the regular popcorn refills throughout the park. I was shocked that I could get a refill with the specialty popcorn.

Blue Buttered Grains as a Popcorn Refill

I recommend visiting Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for your next coffee fix. You won’t be disappointed.
