Pixar Has Released New ‘Onward’ Trailer and It Looks Like Quite the Quest

Disney/Pixar have realeased a new trailer for the upcoming film Onward. I admit this one has me more excited than the last one. I still get the Weekend at Bernie’s meets Full Metal Alchemist vibe, but I think this trailer is more exciting.

Take a look!

Chris Pratt and Tom Holland (I love them both) play Ian and Barley, two teens on a quest to see, and put together, their deceased dad within 24 hours. It isn’t as creepy as it sounds.

It does sound like quite the adventure. They are going to get the help of a manticore, follow a map, face a curse and  their mom even gets in on the action to save her boys (because what mom wouldn’t?!)

Plus I love the fairies or pixies or whatever they are:

Here’s the official write up:

Set in a suburban fantasy world, “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt), who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. Also featuring the voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Ian and Barley’s mom, Laurel Lightfoot, and Octavia Spencer as the voice of the Manticore, Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new original feature film is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae—the team behind “Monsters University.”
I honestly was on the fence before this trailer, but I do want to see it now. For me Pixar films tend to seem iffy in the trailers and then blow me away in the theater. After seeing this trailer I’m going to go for sure.

Onward comes to theaters on March 6, 2020
