Pixar Drops New Trailer For ‘Luca’ Coming To Disney+ This Summer

Disney and Pixar have just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming animated film ‘Luca.’

This new film will be skipping theaters and coming to Disney+ subscribers (at no additional cost) on June 18th.

New Luca Trailer:

The new trailer gives us a bit more information about the characters and the story. I have to admit it does look really cute!

Plus, I’m loving the judgmental cat.

Here’s the write-up for the film:

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar’s original feature film “Luca” is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water’s surface. Directed by Academy Award® nominee Enrico Casarosa (“La Luna”) and produced by Andrea Warren (“Lava,” “Cars 3”), “Luca” releases June 18 on Disney+.

It kind of reminds me of “The Little Mermaid” or even “Splash” minus the romance. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing.  Plus the art style seems very warm, inviting, and nostalgic.

What do you think?

‘Luca’ will premiere on Disney+, for all subscribers, on June 18th.
