Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie from Gideon’s Disney Springs Review

The incredible success of Gideon’s Bakehouse location with Disney Springs continues to amaze. On many days, this citadel of cookies and cakes develops a longer queue than for Rise of the Resistance. The boarding pass/virtual queue system at Rise of the Resistance may have disappeared. However, a system like that gets instituted at this Gideon’s Bakehouse location often. Even with another Orlando area location in the East End area, these queues for baked goods reach impressive levels.

One strategy to avoid this involves rope-dropping Disney Springs to enter Gideon’s queue first thing in morning. Make sure you already have your caffeine because you will not be the only one trying this. During my most recent trip to Disney Springs, I bought all the cookies available during the morning hours. Yes, I ate all of them. I also bought some more to share with friends the next day.

The one I felt most concerned about goes by the name of Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookie. Do not worry! I consulted some pistachio experts. Gideon’s Bakehouse knows cookies. They also know chocolate. Each cookie is advertised at weighing over ½ pound. I think that claim is valid. Each cookie costs $6 plus tax.

This style of cookie rates as well made. Like most things here, this cookie satisfies any sweet tooth. Also, the combination of three different ingredients in this cookie creates a probable flavor adventure for guests. My pistachio experts stated they enjoyed the salty pistachio to go with the toffee and chocolate flavors. The dark chocolate works very well holding flavor and quality of this cookie.

Gideon’s Bakehouse’s own marketing calls this cookie a long-standing favorite. I agree that the mix of chocolate chips and toffee bits works well. If you are a sweet with a bit of salty fan, this could become your favorite cookie. The pistachios reside on top of the cookie so expect a saltier sensation from that area of this large cookie.

In fairness, some guests express not tasting the toffee. I clearly tasted the toffee in a positive way. For me personally, this ranked as middle of the pack for the cookies I had at Gideon’s Bakehouse. However, the sweet and salty fans loved this cookie. In fact, they considered it the superior cookie. If you are a sweet and salty fan, get this cookie! Get several! If you are not a big sweet and salty fan, look for future reviews of the other 5 cookies that I eat from Gideon’s Bakehouse. As always, eat like you mean it!
