Legoland Florida often gets overshadowed by the larger theme park resorts in Lake Buena Vista and Orlando. Legoland, in Winter Haven, has been adding attractions and even soon adding a new Peppa Pig theme park. Recently, Legoland announced a Pirate River Quest attraction coming in 2022. This will just in time for Legoland’s 10th anniversary.
How does an adventure with a bunch of Lego pirates sound to you and your young children?
Legoland is counting on this adding to the guest satisfaction experience. This new attraction will be a type of family-friendly treasure hunt. We currently have limited official details.
For this attraction, guests get to set sail with a crew of Lego pirates. The crew will follow the captain’s orders to explore an area of murky waters to retrieve a lost treasure. We know how pirates feel about treasure so this should be interesting. Did I mention a group of mischievous monkeys stole the treasure to start with? How embarrassing!
Legoland tells us that we will travel through the uncharted waters of Cypress Gardens. We will discover some mysteries that protect its canals. This will be a brand-new story for the whole family. This thematic use of waters of Cypress Gardens honors the long history of this Winter Haven tourist attraction area.
If you are unfamiliar with Legoland, this theme park focuses primarily towards young children and their families. The cost of the theme park is far less than the heavy hitters of Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World. Like this new attraction, this park is lower key and far less stressful than other nearby theme parks.
Also, Legoland announced that January 2022 will see the return of fan favorite event PirateFest Weekends. For 2022, this event will be filled with even more surprises. Also announced for 2022, the return of Lego Ninjago Days and Brick or Treat, their spooky Halloween season event. Since 2020 is an anniversary year, we should expect more announcements from Legoland Florida.
