Paul Bettany Won’t Talk About Mephisto In Regards to ‘WandaVision’

Episode seven of Disney+ and Marvel’s new ‘WandaVision’ show aired yesterday. We got confirmation on a few things that I will talk about in a bit. Spoiler Warning moving forward.

You’ve been warned.

With Episode Seven we’ve gotten confirmation of Agnes being Agatha Harkness and “It Was Agnes All Along.”

It’s strange because they’re playing her as the villain (she even killed Sparky) but in the comics she was Wanda’s mentor.

I also want to point out that I really like Kathryn Hahn. She nails it in ‘WandaVision.’

We also got confirmation that Monica Rambeau has been changed and it seems she is either Photon or Spectrum. That’s still being debated.

Still no Reed Richards, but I’m still betting on it given we have Agnes and possibly Mephisto. They are both connected to the Fantastic Four.

Now we haven’t gotten Mephisto yet. However we might have been kind of given confirmation in a round about way. Actor Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, did an loose interview with Esquire and it was brought up.

During the “interview” Bettany said the following about fan theories and Mephisto specifically:

Some of them are eerily accurate,” he said. “But this one that mentions Mephisto? I can’t speak to… right now. Because I’m worried about getting fired.

Of course this could just be a red herring to throw fans off, but his reaction is interesting for sure.

Then there’s another piece that makes it seem very possible he’s coming.

He did reveal that there is an “Avenger” that he’s excited to have worked with and we haven’t seen yet. So I can’t wait to see who that is.

The interview is actually pretty fun and his lack of confirmation might be confirmation.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
