Kathleen Kennedy has announced at the Disney Investor Day that Patty Jenkins is set to direct the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Jenkins is the director on the ‘Wonder Woman’ films and is a solid choice as a director.
Patty Jenkins has a very personal connection to the idea of a squadron as her father was a fighter pilot and lost his life serving our country. She wanted to turn all that “tragedy and thrill” into making “the greatest fighter pilot movie of all time.”
She kept looking for the right story and couldn’t find it. Now she is making a movie about two things she loves.
I’m guessing that’s Star Wars and fighter pilots.
