Today the Orange County Recovery Task Force released their initial guidelines for various businesses for re-opening proceedures. Included are guidelines for hotels, restaurants, movie theaters and theme parks.

I went and grabbed screen shots to share the information with you.

Theme Parks

We’ll start with that since that’s what most people following this blog are interested in. They had the information divided into small theme parks and large theme parks. The Large Parks being Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World.

The list includes the following:

Guidelines

  • Tape marking 6-feet apart in ride/attraction queues
  • Staff to reguarly wipe down surfaces at random
  • Phase 1&2 staff who are 65+ are encouraged to stay home

Mandates:

  • All employees will be required to wear face masks
  • Touchless hand sanitizer at each ticketing entry and turnstiles
  • Touchless hand sanitizer at each ride/attraction entry and exit
  • Temperature checks for staff prior to shift (temp above 100.4 not allowed to enter premises)
  • All Employees with flu-like symptoms advised to stay home
  • Wipedowns of all railings and surfaces after every use

Phase 1 -50% capacity

Phase 2 – 75% capacity

Hotels

The hotels are listing guidelines limiting house keeping to only when necessary and after guests leave. They are also saying that mobile check-in should be used, Disney already made that mandatory.

Mandates for hotels include sanitization of surfaces, employee health checks, removing service items from rooms, not stocking mini-bars, sanitizing keys and bells and no conferences until Phase 3.

Restaurants:

The Guidelines indicate that disposable menus need to be used as well as encouraging take-out services.

Mandates indicate hand sanitizer needs to be at every table and must be visible. Employees need to wear facemasks and undergo temperature checks.

Phase 1 – Limit restaurant and bar capacity to 50%

Phase 2 – Limit restaurant and bar capacity to 75%

Mall/Interior Retail

Stores will need to follow guidelines that include checkouts that spread out guests 6 feet apart. Hourly wipedowns, hand sanitizer, employee facemasks and checks.

Movies

Movies also will put out touchless sanitizer at the entry.  All employees must wear facemasks, wipedowns, temperature checks, etc.

Phase 1- No more than 4 people in each group with 2 seats between each party

Phase 2 – No more than 5 people in each group with 1 seat between each party
