From time to time, Walt Disney World needs to temporarily close attractions, entertainment and resorts for scheduled maintenance, upgrades and re-imagineering. Thus, we wanted to provide you with a list of the current closures. As of today (November 1, 2021), we have compiled a list of November 2021 Refurbishments and closures throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.
While no one wants their favorite resort or attraction to be down for refurbishment, they are necessary for for safety and to keep things looking great. Additionally, you’ll want to visit the “Know Before You Go” page for the most up to date information.
Major Updates from last month
October has seen the announcements of Live Entertainment and Meet and Greets returning to Walt Disney World Resort. Meet and Greet with Mickey Mouse is listed as returning in November 2021, as well as two others (see below), but they have already began meeting and greeting guests for the first time in 19 months.
We have also seen the return of Live Entertainment in the following areas:
- YeeHa Bob at Port Orleans Riverside
- Kora Tinga Tinga and Tam Tam Drummers of Harambe in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Matsuriza and Sergio at EPCOT

Jelly Rolls has also returned to Disney’s Boardwalk weekends Thursday- Sunday with a $15 cover charge.
Finally, Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter has reopened. Disney’s All-Star Sports is now the only resort yet to reopen since its closure in March 2020.
