As you may know, trips to theme parks resorts during holiday season involve crowds. Crowds equal longer lines. Higher crowds lead to more guest frustration. Yet, on the bright side, holiday periods at theme park resorts mean more activities. During the holiday season at Universal Orlando, guests enjoy parades, special treats, special merchandise, and more. If you find yourself at Universal Orlando on New Year’s Day morning, then Universal Orlando has some special breakfast buffets for you.

The highly enjoyable “Acoustic Brunch” at The Kitchen at Hard Rock Hotel happens this year on New Year’s Day.

The standard Sunday morning acoustic brunch has been suspended at The Kitchen since theme park reopening. The return of this popular buffet on special holidays should intrigue guests. This brunch costs $49 for an adult and $19 for children. This unique brunch will entertain guests from 7am until 2pm. Diners don’t have to be staying at the Hard Rock Hotel to experience the meal. One earns validation for parking by dining at the “Acoustic Brunch.” The traditional Acoustic Brunch, in previous days, offered complimentary Bloody Mary cocktails and mimosas. One should expect that perk for this buffet. The Kitchen serves excellent food options. This should be a good way to start your day. Also, as name implies, diners shall enjoy live acoustic music.

Two other New Year’s Day buffets happen at Universal Orlando Resort hotels.

The standard candidates, Amatista and Islands Dining Room, provide solid breakfast buffets on New Year’s Day. Amatista Cookhouse at Sapphire Falls offers their buffet from 7am until 11am. Adult diners pay $25 (children $15). Adults, of drinking age, may pay $15 more for unlimited mimosas or Cubanita cocktails.

Islands Dining Room at Royal Pacific Resort will offer a similar style buffet. Pricing and hours match Amatista version. The menus vary some between these two buffets. Yet, instead of Cubanita cocktails, Islands offers Bloody Mary cocktails.

As always, Universal Orlando suggests reservations. These reservations may be gained online via “OpenTable.” In addition, you can call the dining reservation number at 407-503-3463 or the concierge at 407-503-2200.
