Disney is trying desperately to make the Galactic Starcruiser stick with fans and now they are putting Han Solo and Princess Leia’s honeymoon onboard the same starcruiser the hotel is supposed to be.
People aren’t flocking to the hotel in the numbers Disney thought so their play is to use the popular classic trilogy couple to entice them onto the Halcyon.
According to StarWars.com a new novel called Star Wars: The Princess and the Scoundrel, by Beth Revis is coming and it just happens to take place on Disney’s newest hotel, because they can’t shill any harder. (Read the write-up it’s a complete commercial. You can NOT make this up. Disney wants to know why fans are turning.)
Here’s the write-up:
“Set just after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, the story begins on the forest moon of Endor, where Han proposes in the elation of the rebel victory against the Empire. After a ceremony at the site of the victory celebration at the end of the film, the newlyweds depart for a honeymoon aboard the Halcyon starcruiser, the luxury vessel at the heart of the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser experience at Disney World Resort. In their most desperate hour, with the war still raging but the Empire nearing its last gasp, the couple must outwit the Imperial remnants clinging to power.”
Oh boy! You can read more about the book and the author’s interview on StarWars.com.
The novel comes out on August 16, 2022.
