Walt Disney World has brought back the runDisney in-person events, in fact Wine & Dine races start tomorrow with the complete event opening up today. Now we have a look at runDisney’s newest race weekend coming next spring called the ‘Springtime Surprise Race Weekend.’

In 2022, the first ‘Springtime Surprise Race Weekend’ will start from March 31-April 3. Around the time the Star Wars Rival Run Weekend would normally be.

Here’s more from Disney Parks Blog:

This inaugural event borrows from some all-time favorite runDisney events and combines them with exciting new twists and turns for a totally unique experience.

When March 31-April 3, 2022 rolls around, runners will embark on a nostalgic four-day race weekend that will have them reliving wonderful past runDisney memories while creating new ones during the Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration.

The inaugural Springtime Surprise Weekend will feature:

  • Expedition Everest 5K (April 1, 2022) – The race will once again feature a nighttime 5K combined with a scavenger hunt, but this time the hunt will be conducted during the 5K.
  • Race for the Taste 10K (April 2, 2022) – The event will mirror the 10K from the past, but now the race will celebrate the newest attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT.
  • The Tower of Terror 10-Miler (April 3, 2022) – The race will still be a 10-miler, but will be run in the morning instead of at night.”

There will also be a Springtime Surprise Challenge by participating in all three events for 19.3 miles and a special challenge medal.

Here are the prices:

  • Springtime Surprise Sunrise Yoga – $95
  • Expedition Everest 5K – $100

This is a fun run/scavenger hunt event that takes place at night!

  • Race For the Taste 10K – $135

This is a new 6.2 mile run inspired by Ratatouille.

  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10-Miler – $190

10-mile run inspired by the Tower of Terror, sadly it’s in the daytime.

  • Springtime Surprise Challenge – $445

Complete all three events and get a special medal.

  • Virtual Races – $75-$305

Registration for the Springtime Surprise Weekend will start on December 9th at rundisney.com.

It will be the final run in the 2021-2022 race season.
