If you are looking for something to do this summer, Main Street Bella is hosting yet another virtual race. This time it’s called “This Is The Way Virtual Race” and it is again inspired by “The Mandalorian.” The race will take place during the week of August 16th – August 23rd.

Previously we had “The Rebel Run” and now this one is centered around “The Mandalorian” on Disney+.

Registration will begin for the general public on July 5th. These do sell out quickly so you need to get registered as soon as possible. You can choose to have just a medal for $30 or do both the medal and t-shirt for $50.

  1. Shirt & Medal – $50
This option comes with our high quality finisher medal and a race shirt of your choice.
  2. Medal Only – $30
Finish your race, report your time, and this high quality finisher medal is all yours!

It is important to note that these are not official runDisney races and they aren’t affiliated with them or the Walt Disney Company, but they offer these virtual races that are inspired by Disney or Star Wars to benefit organizations or charities. Proceeds from this race will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County and Make-A-Wish.

Virtual races are ones you do from home and you report your time. You can also choose your distance from 5k, 10k, or half marathon 13.1K.

  1. You register for your spot and choose the swag you want (shirt, medal or both)
  2. The week of the race (August 16th-23rd, 2020) you run a 5K, 10K or 13.1, whatever you choose. As long as its before the end of the race week you are good to go.
  3. You record your time on a smart phone or device.
  4. You submit your race time at the link provided with your registration.
  5. We post your time on a leader board.
  6. Once we receive your race time we send out your items (shirt, medal, etc)

I really love the virtual races, especially if you are someone who’s just starting out and want to do it at your own pace. Or someone who can’t afford to get to the official races. It’s a great way for people to get out and get active. Of course you want to check with your medical professional before attempting any event, for your safety and to make sure you’re healthy enough.

Here’s the official write up:

Celebrate hope and determination in this fun virtual race and awesome swag. This Mandalorian themed race will be held the week of August 16th-23rd, 2020 and is perfect for kids and adults alike. You can receive a finisher medal and shirt to commemorate your accomplishment. Plus you will be helping people in need. Our charity partners receive 20% of the proceeds from each ticket sold.

I do these all the time and I also have purchased merchandise like sneakers from them as well. You can check out their merchandise store (that has a lot of special Disney themed items perfect for your trip to the parks or official runDisney events) HERE.

I have these sneakers and they are cute!

Disney has been a big part of my life for years--from family trips to WDW to growing up on Disney classics, TV, and movies. Prior to Pirates and Princesses I successfully ran social media and websites since 2010. I've also been a public speaker and presenter since 2007. I'm the co-host for the YouTube channel Clownfish TV as well as the podcast/ Youtube Pirates and Princesses (PNP) channel. Former contributor, online personality and acting social media manager at The Kingdom Insider (which we built from the ground up and ran from 1997-2019 --Thom didn't quit FYI) Pirates and Princesses was started by my husband and I several years ago. We loved Disney and wanted to honestly cover all aspects from pop-culture to the parks from a consumer focused stance. Living OUR happily ever after getting to do what we love with our two kids! Creating fun content and building new things. Certified art teacher, and mom. Opinions are all mine.
