New Indy 5 Set Photos Seem To Confirm Leaked Time Travel Plot

Harrison Ford’s recent return to the set of the currently untiled Indiana Jones 5, after an injury this past June, has many people relived that he has seemingly recovered. The film recently resumed its filming schedule in Europe and multiple set photos show off Ford, co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen in costume in England and Sicily.

But trouble seems to be brewing in the world of Dr. Jones, as another photo surfaced, showing off Roman Soldiers battling Greek Hoplites (Which historically is impossible).

Earlier in the year YouTuber Overlord DVD released a video that included a RUMOR stating that the film will follow Ford’s character and newcomer Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the two travel back in time to the era of World War II. Also saying that not only will Indiana Jones die, but be erased from history and Waller-Bridge’s character would retroactively replace him in the timeline. After the video was posted multiple outlets reported on it. This, along with sightings of WWII Era Tanks and Extras in Nazi Soldier uniforms added fuel to the fire.

With these new photos it suggests that the duo will travel to more eras than just WWII. Perhaps the duo are chasing the main villain across time. But these also could just be a flashback segment, despite none of the previous films (Except for the intro to The Last Crusade) having ever used flashbacks.

The film was set to be released July 29th, 2022 but recently was push back an entire year to June 30th, 2023 (By the time the film releases Ford will be almost 81 years old). This is odd when compared to other Disney/Marvel projects that only were delayed by a few months. Some have speculated that the film could have been pushed back that far due to potential reshoots due to the negative reception from the leaks. How would this play into Kathleen Kennedy’s upcoming contract renewal?

Perhaps Disney plans to rework the film in order to avoid another Last Jedi incident.

What do you think? Are you still looking forward to Ford’s last outing as Indiana Jones?
