It’s quite the day for trailers. First we had ‘Morbius‘ and now we have the ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.’ People are very excited over a duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. Overall the special effects look pretty good.
Let’s take a look!
It does look better than the last film, which is a good thing.
The film of course has been controversial for the replacement of Johnny Depp with Mads Mikkeslon for Gindelwald. This might hit them in sales at the box office because Depp fans have been saying they will boycott this film and ‘Aquaman 2’ with Amber Heard.
It’s directed by David Yates and produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves, Lionel Wingram and Tim Lewis. Executive producers are listed as Neil Blair, Danny Cohen, Josh Berger, Courtenay Valenti, and Michael Sharp.
Here is the YouTube write up:
“Professor Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
The film features an ensemble cast, including Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), two-time Oscar nominee Jude Law (“Cold Mountain,” “The Talented Mr. Ripley”), Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, William Nadylam, Callum Turner, Jessica Williams, Victoria Yeates, Poppy Corby-Tuech, Fiona Glascott, Katherine Waterston, Maria Fernanda Cândido, Richard Coyle, Oliver Masucci, Valerie Pachner, and Mads Mikkelsen.”
The film will release internationally starting on April 7, 2022 and in North America on April 15, 2022.
