Marvel hosted a panel at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend. During the panel they discussed the 4th phase of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) including the upcoming theatrical releases and the shows heading over to Disney+

Previously, we did an article discussing the films with release dates, this article will focus primarily on the Disney+ Marvel content coming to the upcoming streaming service.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

This series will feature Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier) along with Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo.

Fans can expect this show to launch on Disney+ Fall 2020.

WandaVision

One of the new shows coming to Disney+ is WandaVision which is as the name states. A show about Wanda and Vision.

But we have recently learned it will tie directly into the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film. Elizabeth Olsen is set to play Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) in the show and then will join Benedict Cumberbatch in the new Doctor Strange movie.

WandaVision is set to premier on Disney+ in spring 2021 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 7, 2021.

Loki

This show will feature Tom Hiddleston playing his character from the Marvel films. Apparently this new show will follow the version of Loki that stole the tesseract in Avengers: Endgame that caused an alternate universe.

It will premier on Disney+ in Spring 2021.

Hawkeye

Disney finally gave an official announcement for this series. It will focus on how Clint Barton will train Kate Bishop “to become a supehero without superpowers.”  Basically she’s a teen-aged “Hawkeye.”  This could also help set up a Young Avengers film or show.

Apparently the series will also fill in some of the back story about how Clint Barton became Ronin in Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye will be coming to Disney+ Fall 2021.

What if…?

Okay this one is a bit weird. It’s going to be the first animated show in the MCU featuring alternate reality forms of the characters, much like the comic books do. The character actors from the MCU films will be doing the voices for the animated versions in this project.

This project is currently scheduled for Summer 2021 on the Disney+ service.

Here is the completed image featuring all the announced MCU films and shows for Phase 4 (image from Inverse).

The Disney+ Streaming Service will launch on November 12, 2019. Of course the Marvel shows won’t be starting to air until Fall of next year.
