Just when you thought the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction fiasco couldn’t get any worse, those selected for the Series 8 Dumbo plush are getting notifications that they won’t ship until 2021.  At this point, why can’t we just make the items pre-order and not deal with this awful MerchPass system?

Here is what people are receiving:

Congratulations! You have been selected for the opportunity to purchase the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Dumbo plush! This product has experienced a production delay, so it will not be available for purchase until early 2021. Please accept our sincere apologies for any disappointment that this may cause. When the plush becomes available for purchase, we will send you an email notification.

If you were selected for the opportunity to purchase other items in the collections (the pins, ears, mug and/ or backpack), you will receive a separate email with that information.

Once again, sorry for any disappointment that this has caused. We invite you to visit us again and have included a one-time use promotional code for free standard shipping on your next shopDisney purchase. This one-time use promotional code will expire on December 31, 2020. Restrictions Apply.

People are reporting getting these emails/ messages now. It’s not surprising that items were delayed. They are manufactured months in advance and with the pandemic, it makes sense that it would cause a delay. The question left is “Will this be an ongoing issue moving forward?”  Are we going to see other items be delayed but they don’t bother telling the collectors until after they assign who’s going to get to buy them? Can we expect the plush to be delayed from here on out?   Who knows.

Good news is if you are picked you will get one eventually and you get a free shipping code. Although you usually get free shipping on orders over $75 anyways and they have free shipping promos all the time.

Updating to add this.  People are selling the plush on eBAy and saying they are “in Hand”

Not only do they claim they are “in hand” they have 4 of them? What is going on here Disney? The UK orders are allegedly being recalled.

What do you think? Comment and let us know!
