Being someone who appreciates the Marvel comic tradition, I continue to be fascinated with the advancement of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For a company not so long ago looking at bankruptcy, the rise of Marvel shows an incredible comeback. For what was defined as phases 1-3, Marvel fans got the “Infinity Saga.” At San Diego Comic-Con, Kevin Fiege revealed title for Marvel Cinematic Universe phases 4-6, “The Multiverse Saga.” Fiege did this on the evening of July 23rd.

During this presentation in typical Marvel Cinematic style, fans got the titles of everything through phase 5. Another probably was the fact that fans would get two different “Avengers” movies in the same year, 2025 as a part of phase 6. The titles of those movies are Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. So many other announcements happened so let me give you the highlights:

We got more Phase 4 updates. Tenoch Huerta was officially announced as Namor the Submariner for Black Panther Wakanda Forever. The Black Panther Wakanda Forever trailer dropped also during this event. That movie release November 2022. Of course, proper respect was shown to Chadwick Boseman and his family during this event.

Also, an impressive She-Hulk trailer was shown for that Disney Plus series being released August 17th, 2022. They even included a phone number to call that Marvel fans will enjoy.

The full list of Phase 5 announcements got revealed during Comic Con. They are:

  • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania – February 17, 2023
  • Secret Invasion – Spring 2023
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – May 5, 2023
  • Echo – Summer 2023
  • Loki Season 2 – Summer 2023
  • The Marvels – July 28, 2023
  • Blade – November 3, 2023
  • Ironheart – Fall 2023
  • Agatha: Coven of Chaos – Winter 2023/2024
  • Daredevil: Born Again – Spring 2024
  • Captain America: New World Order – May 3, 2024
  • Thunderbolts – July 26, 2024

This event also gave us some details about the Phase 6 movies. Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four will hit theaters November 8, 2024. The two above-mentioned Avengers movies have release dates. Avengers: Kang Dynasty releases on May 2, 2025. Avengers: Secret Wars releases just a few months later on Nov. 7, 2025.

Finally, guests were told eight more Marvel projects would be announced at the D23 event in September. The Marvel Cinematic Universe looks nowhere near slowing down. I guess we will wait until September for the next Marvel announcements.
