It’s always been my dream to meet a celebrity while enjoying my time at Disney. However, I understand that I should value their privacy. I’d hate to have that much attention on me while I’m trying to vacation with my family. But, knowing the pop culture nerd that I am, I’d still love to see a celebrity while on vacation at Disney.
Recently, guests were bamboozled into thinking they were meeting Matt Damon in World Showcase at Epcot. A man who some may debate as being a Matt Damon lookalike was parading around World Showcase wearing a tank top emblazoned with Matt Damon’s face on it.
Red flag: a celebrity wearing a shirt with their face plastered all over it. I highly doubt most celebrities would walk around World Showcase with a tank top with their face on it, overtly looking for attention. Many times when celebrities are out in public, they attempt to be as incognito as possible often wearing hats and sunglasses to disguise themselves.
This self-proclaimed Matt Damon lookalike was taking photos with guests who truly believed he was Matt Damon. If you look closely, it is obviously not Matt Damon.
Twitter user Gratuitous Disney Memes captured the moment with the caption, “Dude really believes he looks like Matt Damon”:

I don’t want to admit that he looks like Matt Damon, but I guess I see a slight resemblance. I admit that the hubbub that surrounding this incident would have made me curious, and I would have stopped to investigate. However, the shirt would’ve given it away in a heartbeat. Matt Damon can be funny and take a good joke, but I don’t him him doing this.
