There was a storm last night in the Walt Disney World area and lightning struck one of the spires in the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Who needs fireworks when you can see this “night-time spectacular.”

I also saw a video from a different angle by a poster on a Facebook group board. The lighting can be seen going behind the Chinese Theater in the park. I would assume that was the same bolt that hit Galaxy’s Edge.

Well it was some kind of light show for sure. Hopefully no damage was done to the facade, although that might just enhance the area. It is called Black Spire for a reason I guess.
It brings new meaning to “til the spires.”
