These are so cool!
Lego and Nintendo have joined forces to create amazing new Super Mario Lego sets.
Mario has sensors to read blocks and colors to activate sounds and responses from the Mario figure. He also has screens on his face so he can interact with the sets.
Mario reacts to various elements in the set.
I love this one. If you put him on the “lava” bricks he responds by dying, like he would in the game.
There are three sets coming on August 1st:
The Starter Set – 231 pieces
You can pre-order it now from select retailers. Lego.com has it for $59.99 PLUS a free expansion set with Monty Mole & Super Mushroom.
Piranha Plant Power Slide
Bowser’s Castle Boss Battle
Right now the pre-orders are not yet available on the Bowser Castle or the Piranha Slide yet, so we don’t have the prices.
I could see this being expanded in so many ways. More Mario levels. Luigi’s Mansion (my nephew would flip,) Donkey Kong, and more!
Or they could even tie it into Nintendo World at Universal Parks!
This is so exciting!
