Jack’d Up Experience at Universal Orlando

Similar in pattern to HHN29 held in 2019, Universal Orlando is offering a Halloween Horror Nights exclusive event to guests staying at the hotels. Guest staying at Cabana Bay Beach Resort will get a priority line, but it is unlikely you will need it. The Jack’d Up Experience is available at no cost for all Universal Resort guests.

This experience is located on second floor of the lobby building in the recreation center area. For those unfamiliar with Cabana Bay, this is the area with the bowling alley, game room, and fitness center. The experience is offered from 2pm to 10pm nightly until October 31st.

This themed walk through experience is a tribute to all things Jack the Clown, an important icon of HHN lore.

Guest will be able to see props from over the last few decades about Jack the Clown.

There are plenty of photo ops.

Guests can enter the gigantic blender for photos and a few surprises. A team member will take your photo in the blender if desired.

After this, you will enter a themed hallway which continues the homage to Jack. When your guide takes you here, be sure not to push the button. As you team member might say if no one gives into temptation to push the button, this is like red button on MIB attraction. The effect is nothing special but Universal Orlando is trying to do special things for guests.

In the final room, you will have the opportunity to become one of Jack’s maniacs.

You will need to stand by and then watch a video presentation from Jack. You will be asked to show your devotion to Jack. Afterwards, you will be declared a maniac.  To conclude you will be allowed to take photos of and have a selfie with a creepy looking Jack mannequin. This mannequin looks very similar to the one in HHN tribute store in 2020. Sadly, I am old, and my selfie game is poor but once again Universal Orlando is trying to offer resort stay perks.

The Jack’d Up Experience is not scary and might be a good primer for people coming to their first HHN. Some veteran HHN fans were disappointed with this experience being simply a photo op walkthrough. Guests on first day or two were disappointed by the long waits for such a simple experience. On September 15th, I waited about 5 minutes.

If you plan to stay at Cabana Bay Beach Resort or another Universal Orlando Resort hotel, then this is worth your time. I would not expect waits to be very long now. All other Universal Orlando hotel guests will be given validation for complimentary parking at Cabana Bay during the time spent at the experience. At this point, off-site guests are not being allowed to participate in this experience.
