The voice of Disney’s Pocahontas, Irene Bedard, was arrested twice for two incidents of drunken and disorderly conduct in November of last year. And the videos are… bizarre… to say the least.
TMZ has police bodycam video footage of Bedard getting belligerent with officers in two separate incidents. In the first, officers showed up at the home of Bedard’s ex-husband after a domestic abuse call. Bedard answered the door and greeted them as “white men.”
Police say she was yelling at her 17-year-old son, which you can see in the video below. When officers attempt to arrest her, things get ugly.
Bedard’s second arrest came on Nov. 30 This time it was at a hotel where she allegedly harassed an employee. The police footage shows her erratic drunken behavior once again, and she comically informs the police that she’s Pocahontas in the Disney movie.
Despite repeated attempts by the officer to talk things so as avoid taking her to jail, Bedard refuses to comply and begins running around the hotel lobby until police finally catch her.
Bedard voiced Pocahontas in the original 1995 Disney animated feature film and its direct-to-video sequel as well as reprising her role in Ralph Breaks the Internet, House of Mouse and other appearances in TV and theme parks. Broadway actress Judy Kuhn provided the singing voice of Pocahontas.
