Disney has released the trailer for their “reimagined” ‘Home Alone’ movie on Disney+ and the reception hasn’t been as positive as Disney hoped.
Currently it’s sitting at 10K downvotes to 6.2K upvotes on YouTube.
Here’s the trailer:
It’s seems like it was meant to be a sequel with what looks like Buzz as a police officer? But people say it feels like a retelling of the initial ‘Home Alone’ film with a new cast. What could go wrong? Ask Lucasfilm about Star Wars.
The comments are fantastic though:
God this is awful…. When will Disney learn that not every movie need to be remade Jesus!!! They’re just going to ruin this for us.
Just imagine remaking Back to the Future or Forest Gump.

You cannot and should not bother reboot TIMELESS classics. They are timeless. They never get old. You never get sick of watching them. Why bother making a film that you know isn’t going to match up with the original…THAT PEOPLE STILL WATCH TIME AND TIME AGAIN! 🤦🏼♂️

How does a new movie have anything to do, or ruin another movie that’s already out? Are they changing the plot of the first one? Or can I simply always go back and watch it?

Did they just take the script from the first film and add British people to it with slight alterations? Because they definitely did.

It was me. I asked Disney to do this. I’m sorry. I was drunk. 🥺

Why not just remake it with Muppets instead? And call it “Muppets Home Alone”.

I don’t know if this is going the way they thought.
