Star Wars fans are very excited right now because The Hollywood Reporter has reported “multiple sources” have told them that Anakin Skywalker actor, Hayden Christensen, will be reprising his role in the upcoming Ahsoka live-action series coming to Disney+.
Christensen has already returned to Star Wars as Anakin Skywalker/Vader for the upcoming ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ show on Disney+, but he apparently could return for the second series as well.
Rosario Dawson will be again playing Ahsoka Tano, who was once the padawan to Anakin Skywalker in the animated ‘Clone Wars’ series. Tano also appeared in ‘The Mandalorian’ and is set to have a show centered around her character.
Right not not much is known about the upcoming “Ahsoka” show other than Dave Filoni is set to write the show and executive produce with Jon Favreau. Of course this makes me excited as Favreau and Filoni have been making fantastic strides in rebuilding the ‘Star Wars’ franchise and winning fans back to The Force.
We don’t know if Christensen will be playing Anakin in flashbacks or Vader, as the show is set around the same time as “The Mandalorian.” But either way I’m just happy to have him back if it’s true!
Disney has not confirmed or denied the rumor, and neither has Hayden Christensen.
I hope it’s true and so does Twitter!
