In Disney’s push to get people to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge this week, GMA ran a sneak peek of the upcoming Rise of the Resistance Attraction this morning.
By sneak peek I mean it’s a 3-minute video that is mostly talking, clips of Disney’s Star Wars films, a look a Poe’s X-wing and the Star Destroyer hangar bay with some stormtroopers in it (like 50.)
Good news is that it does match up with the concept art!
But hat’s pretty much all they showed. It’s kind of underwhelming, like most of this “blitz” has been. Hopefully the Freeform special with Neil Patrick Harris will show a lot more. At this point I think Rise of the Resistance is their best shot at bringing demand to the Galaxy’s Edge area.
The new ‘Rise of the Resistance’ attraction will open in Walt Disney World on December 5, 2019 and in Disneyland on January 17, 2020.
