To celebrate 2022’s Free Comic Book Day, Gentle Giant has announced two new Star Wars collectibles that will arrive in May. First up is a mini-bust of The Mandalorian’s Moff Gideon, played by Giancarlo Esposito.
The mini-bust measures 6″ tall and shows the Remnant commander in his Imperial armor wielding the Dark Saber. I’m not super thrilled about the sculpt of the face, to be honest. He looks a little more like Walt Disney than Mr. Esposito. Actually, I’d really like to see him play Walt in a bio pic.
Regardless, Gideon is priced at $120 and can be pre-ordered now.
Wielding the fabled Darksaber, this 1/6 scale, approximately 6-inch mini-bust of the Imperial Remnant commander Moff Gideon features detailed sculpting and paint applications. Limited to only 3,000 pieces.
Next up is the new 3D bust of Boba Fett featuring the all-black armor from his Nowhere To Hide comic book. This bust is the same as the previous one announced on Gentle Giant’s site but painted black. He’s priced at $199.99 but can only be purchased if you’re a Premier Guild Member at this moment.
Just when you thought he couldn’t get any cooler, Boba Fett is Back in Black! For his comic book event, Nowhere to Hide, the Fett dons all-black armor, and the result is quite possibly the coolest thing anyone has ever seen. Limited to only 1000 pieces.
The next item, a set of mini-busts, is not part of Free Comic Book Day but was announced today. Hera and Chopper from Star Wars Rebels join the line of smaller busts. The set is priced at $120. They’re estimated to arrive in May 2022.
Two more members of the Ghost crew have arrived, in the form of this all-new mini-bust two-pack! Pilot Hera and droid Chopper come together in one box. Measuring approximately 6 inches and 4 inches, respectively, Hera and Chopper are sculpted in the animated style, and feature detailed sculpting and paint applications. Limited to only 3000 pieces.
What do your think of these three new Star Wars collectibles? Let us know in the comments.
