Beast Kingdom is currently taking pre-orders for a full-size replica of Thor as he appears in the upcoming Love and Thunder MCU film. This work of “art” stands 205 cm tall from base to the top of his head and he will cost you $16,049.99. He is roughly the cost of a decent automobile. It’s not clear what the statue is made of, but we know that it is hand-painted and hand-sculpted. There’s no release date listed, but the figure will probably ship from China.

Oh, dear. I’m not sure what to make of this. There’s something about how Chris Hemsworth’s face was sculpted on this $16k life-size statue that creeps me out. Maybe it’s the eyes? Perhaps the smirk is what’s doing it? I can’t help but feel that Thor would do horrible things to me at night if I were to buy this statue.

Thor is seen wearing his new colorful battle suit with the classic red cape and Stormbreaker in full force. Using high-grade paint, each detail is hand-painted and hand-sculpted to perfection. Thor’s signature beard, long hair, and muscle lines are carefully created with full effect. This is a life-size statue that will look as good in a professional venue as it would in a home collection.

I was a fan of Chris Hemsworth’s Thor for a while. That was until they made him way too comical. Likewise, it’s hard to take the God of Thunder seriously when he’s either constantly quipping, taking pratfalls, or being outshone by his co-stars. I’m hoping Love and Thunder fixes that, but that’s not what Taika Waititi usually does with his film’s subjects.

What do you think of this $16k statue? Would you buy it? Fawn over it? Put it in yer bed? Lust after it? If you’re planning on doing any of those things, please seek help.
