Fitness Classes Available at Disneyland Resort

If walking all over Disneyland isn’t enough for you, new fitness classes have been added throughout the Disneyland Resort. Last time I was there, I walked nearly 20,000 steps in one day, but adding a fitness class could definitely give me or any other guest more energy to get through a day at Disneyland.

Via the Disneyland website, these are the fitness classes that are offered at the Disneyland Resort for hotel guests:

Awakening Yoga
Wake up with Disney! Ground yourself by enjoying a yoga session overlooking Disney California Adventure Park from Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Designed for all levels, incorporate various types of yoga to help improve mental awareness and start the day off right.
45 minutes

Yoga Burn
An exhilarating combination of cardio, Pilates and yoga with a focus on core engagement, this class is a perfect balance of yin and yang.

Disney ears Yoga
Add a little Disney magic to your zen by wearing your favorite Disney ears during this morning yoga session at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Note: Disney ears are not required, but are strongly encouraged. Disney ears will not be provided.

Bodyweight Circuit
Feel the burn! Perform an intense series of timed exercises utilizing your own body weight to activate muscles in this total body workout at multiple outdoor stations throughout Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Boot Camp
Perform repetitions of different full-body exercises at multiple outdoor stations, utilizing various types of equipment, in this high-powered workout at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

Aqua Yoga
Discover inner peace and tranquility. Practice yoga on a paddleboard while floating in the Fountain Pool at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Note: You should be comfortable in the water before booking this class.

Aqua Fitness
This floating workout combines cardio, strength and core exercises on a paddleboard in the Fountain Pool at Disney Grand California Hotel & Spa. Note: You should be comfortable in the water before booking this class.

Quick Core
Strengthen and condition your core muscles surrounding the trunk of your body.
30 minutes

Sound Meditation
Take a gently guided meditation designed to quiet your mind and bring you into a deep state of self-reflection.
45 minutes

Fascia Release
This therapeutic class incorporates a fascia roller to help relieve muscle tightness and soreness.
45 minutes

Start with a Stretch
Prepare your body for an exciting day walking through the parks! Allow our instructors to guide you through gentle stretching to help relax your muscles.
45 minutes

Aqua Aerobics
Move to the music and the water’s natural resistance during this high intensity/low impact water aerobic exercise class. Note: The class is held in shallow water that is 3- to 4-feet deep.

Power Walking Workout in Disney California Adventure Park
Kick off your day with an energetic walk and active stretching throughout Disney California Adventure Park before the park opens. This class maintains a 15- to 18- minute per mile pace, for up to 2 miles. Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Boot Camp in Disney California Adventure Park
Unleash the beast! Participate in a spirited high intensity boot camp at Disney California Adventure Park before the park opens. This class includes push-ups, squats and sit-ups, and maintains a 12-minute per mile pace jogging around the park. Wear a good pair of exercise shoes!

Obstacle Challenge
Push your limits at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail attraction at Disney California Adventure Park. Conquer thrilling obstacles like crawling, jumping, climbing and running, and test your balance and strength. Wear comfortable exercise shoes!

The above fitness classes are for guests ages 18 and up. Guests 14-17 can participate with written parent consent and parent participation in the class as well. You need to reserve these fitness classes.

Along with these fitness classes each of the three hotels offers a complimentary fitness center for guests of the hotel. Each one is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They are located:

  • Eureka Fitness Center at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
  • The Fitness Center at the Disneyland Hotel, temporarily relocated to the Mark Twain Room at the Frontier Tower
  • The Fitness Center at Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, located on the second floor

If you are staying at the one of three Disneyland hotels, perhaps next time you want to add a fitness class to your Disney vacation. There seems to be a plethora of choices to choose from.
