First Post Pandemic Disney College Program Participants Have Arrived at Walt Disney World

Today is an exciting day as the first Disney College program participants have arrived in Walt Disney World after the program was shut down in March, 2020 due to COVID-19.

Walt Disney World president Jeff Vahle welcomed the new program participants and posted it on his Instagram:

Here’s the transcript of what was said:

Today was truly an exciting moment, welcoming back the Disney College Program and celebrating the arrival of our newest Cast Members. It was energizing to meet with some of these exceptional students and hear their excitement for starting their own Disney journey.  So many of our leaders began their careers on the College Program, and I’m proud to see it continue to develop even more Cast for the future.
As our industry and community continue to bounce back, we are focused on continuing our phased reopening and getting more people back to work. Check out @disneycareers for more information on full-time and part-time roles – and @officialdisneyprograms for more on the Disney College Program.

It’s yet another step towards the “return to normal” at Walt Disney World.  Now if we could get more of the Cast Members who were laid off or let go back, that would be even better!
