“Daredevil” fans are trying to get Marvel to bring back the Netflix show as the rights have returned to the Disney owned comic company. #SaveDaredevil is trending across the internet and nearly 400,000 people have signed the Change.org petition as of the writing of this article.
For those unfamiliar, Netflix had a deal with Marvel to produce shows on their streaming service. Now that Disney has their own streaming service and controlling interest in Hulu, they wanted the rights back. Netflix cancelled all the shows a couple of years ago. But fans of ‘Daredevil’ want the show to live on. They do not want Marvel to reboot it, they want he same cast to continue with Charlie Cox playing Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio to continue playing Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
D’Onofrio has been leading the charge to keep “Daredevil” going:
Sign this people, for Save Daredevil. https://t.co/YXvtPbPj01

There is even a website dedicated to “Saving Daredevil.“
On November 29, 2018, Marvel’s Daredevil was unceremoniously cancelled by Netflix.
In less than a week, we became the voice for a Daredevil fan campaign recognized by news articles, actors, and global web sites. In the months that followed, thousands of loyal Daredevil fans came to us for guidance and countless more continue to do so today. We’re all upset, angry, and emotional – and rightfully so! – but let’s remember why we’re here: Murdocks always get back up.
Let’s follow that lead and fight!”
Marvel has said that they intend to use the characters, but they have not stated that they will use the Netflix actors. This is one time that Marvel might want to listen because the show as a huge hit and there are a great deal of fans that would appreciate it if they would listen.
The fans are getting the #SaveDaredevil trending all over. This happened with the push to rerelease ‘Alita Battle Angel’ to theaters and for the DC ‘Justice League’ Snyder Cut. The fans won then. Hopefully they can win again. But as Marvel comics fans can tell you, they aren’t always the best at listening to the fans, and the comic sales prove it.
I too am a fan of the Netflix/Marvel show and I want to see more of those actors and their versions of the characters. Pirates and Princesses want to #SaveDaredevil as well!
