I know I can be critical of Disney but this has me so excited!
D23 is this weekend and one of the displays at the Disney Parks pavilion features the upcoming Epcot redesign. Including a retro-looking, overall feel.
This all starts with the new Logo! It’s so very old-Epcot and it makes me really happy!
Growing up going to Epcot in the 80’s (my family visited within the first year of it’s opening) I was lucky enough to experience a lot of what is now gone. In my kid memories, Epcot was so amazing. Today, it really needs an update and refurbishment. (They just better not make Spaceship Earth and IP based attraction!)
What’s very interesting about these concept art pieces is that Epcot is going back to it’s roots with the logo, the fountain. the entry way and more! I totally love it!
First up I’m going to give WDWNT credit for this one! They had this really cool mock up image last month!
The retro fountain is coming!
Back in the day the fountain had acrylic pieces on it and it was very Epcot! There it is! This makes me so happy and I’m not even sure why.
I love the way they show Spaceship Earth
Also coming to the new design is the Epcot Gardens where people will have places to sit. This is a good idea because it gets so hot and there really isn’t a lot of seating.
There also seems to be some glowing elements to it as well.
Attractions Magazine put up a video of the video.
If you watch the video you can get a great look at all the amazing things coming including the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, the space restaurant, Ratatouille, a play area and more!
