I’m always impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of people and this story is no exception. As a fellow Spaceship Earth lover, I am really excited about what this person did. He created a backpack that runs the Spaceship Earth light show across itself in time with the actual show. (Plus he seems to be a fellow Pennsylvanian!)
Uhhh this backpack syncs with Spaceship Earth and I’m in awe. Wow.
Kudos to @nathanbacon87 for this awesome creation. 🎥: @countrybearsam pic.twitter.com/t0bBcUZXl9

Apparently the item was for sale on Etsy for $300 but it sold out!
“This backpack will sync up with the EPCOT Spaceship Earth light show! This bag features 120 LEDs that, at the push of a button, syncs with the original EPCOT show that has played nightly since October 2021! Each light is attached to a silver grommet in-between the triangular geometry of the bag using custom 3D printed parts. While I had hoped to have silver colored bags ready to go, I sadly received the wrong bags. However, this purplish color looks very cool in the light at certain angles and is “Earidescent”-esque. I plan to make Silver versions if there is any interest in this first round of bags. Please feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions!
Included:
1 Backpack
120 LEDs
1 25800mAh Power Bank (with charging cord)
1 LED Controller”
Nathan the Spaceship Earth backpack guy (and fellow Pennsylvanian) hopes to get more in stock soon!
“Thank you all so much for your interest in my bags! I just ordered supplies for 11 backpacks and I plan to get to work on them as soon as I’m done visiting the mouse 🙂 If all goes to plan, I should have them ready early/mid August. Also, I will not be doing presales but will announce an exact date closer to when they will be available for sale. -Nathan”
If you were wanting one you will still have a chance!
Great job Nathan! I love your work!
