Disney’s Has Released a New Trailer for ‘Mulan’

Disney has released a new Mulan trailer.

Well, the good news is that it isn’t just a straight up remake of the original animated film. But, I do think it feels Disney was really going after the Chinese box office, which is fair since it’s a Chinese tale, but I don’t think it’s going the way they had hoped.

It is different:

Now we have a different villain and he’s a got a witch partner.

Mulan has a sister and instead of Mushu there’s a phoenix.

I really love action and for that I am excited, but I’m not completely sold on this version yet. I am a bit biased because I’m really tired of the constant re-boots and remakes out of Disney, and Mulan is one of my favorites, but I will hold judgement too much until I see more.

I do miss Mushu and Cricket though.

Mulan will release to theaters on March 27, 2020.
