Disneyland is moving forward with reopening their Disney Vacation Club villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa on December 6th according to the OC Register.
Apparently Disney sent out a letter to the DVC members about the reopening.
Disneyland plans to continue its gradual phased reopening in December with the return of the Disney Vacation Club villas while the theme parks and hotels remain closed indefinitely amid the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
The Disney Vacation Club villas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will reopen on Dec. 6, according to a letter sent to DVC members. At this point only the DVC villas will be reopening in this phase the rest of Disney’s Grand Californian resort, the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier will be remaining closed.
It makes sense that they chose the Grand Californian as the villas to reopen, as it lets out in Downtown Disney District, and into Disney California Adventure by Buena Vista Street.
Most of the activities at Disneyland have been modified, limited, and closed due to the COVID-19 guidelines. Due to this, we have no idea what will be available then. As of right now the parks are closed for the foreseeable future, other than Buena Vista street shopping and dining at Disney California Adventure. It just seems like a way for Disneyland to gain some revenue and an expensive trip to just go shopping.
DVC member with reservations at the villas will be sent information about their visit soon.
