Walt Disney World’s Fort Wilderness is offering a new ‘Stay Under the Stars’ deal with “20% on fully-equipped campsites most nights and weekends—April 11 through May 27, 2021 when you book by May 27, 2021.”

The fully equipped camp sites options include:

Great for larger parties, 4 types of campsites accommodate everything from tents to 45-foot and longer RVs, with a maximum of 10 Guests per site. Each campsite is equipped with privacy-enhancing landscaping, water, cable television and electrical hook-ups, complimentary Wi-Fi, a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Most campsites also include a sewer hook-up, and some even permit pets.

I have been to the Fort Wilderness campsites before. It’s been years, but it was actually a lot of fun. If you are someone that likes to camp or has a camper or RV, definitely consider it as an option.

Fort Wilderness offers a lot of fun things to do outside of the parks too.

Discover fantastic pool areas, charming woodland trails and rip-roarin’ entertainment—all in the magic of the great outdoors—and you can enjoy a variety of Guest benefits designed to make your Disney vacation as easy and convenient as possible, including complimentary transportation around Walt Disney World Resort.

If you want to have a non park day or two, there are plenty of things to see and do in the Fort Wilderness area. If camping isn’t for you, there are options with the Fort Wilderness Cabins or the Wilderness Lodge as well.

All that being said and promoted. Here are my thoughts on it.

I think Disney is trying to get more people to come down by giving out deals on the already lower cost campground area.

Here’s the issue though, I’m on many Disney boards and there are a bunch of people who currently have hotel reservations and tickets, but can’t get Park Pass Availability. It keep booking up. With more and more people being vaccinated, and stimulus checks (that people have been calling Disney money) going out, I fully expect more and more people to book up the Park Passes in the next few months.

While there maybe increases to capacity limits soon, due to relaxing of guidelines, the Park Pass Reservation system is staying in place for at least a year or two. As Disney gets more people to book accommodations, they may not have the park availability to go with it.

Contrary to what they believe, people don’t want to spend thousands to stay at Walt Disney World and just visit the resort hotels, Fort Wilderness and Disney Springs.

If you are you are interested in this deal make sure there’s Park Pass availability first. Get your tickets with your accommodation reservations and reserve your park spots as soon as you can. Do not wait on this.

That being said, if you are someone who enjoys camping definitely check out the Fort Wilderness campgrounds. The area is a lot of fun.
