Disney is trying really hard to show investors they are making the parks bigger and better. Right now their attention seems to be on Disneyland Paris as they showcase more of the upcoming “Lion King” attraction, and they have also announced a new, “exciting” attraction based on Pixar’s film “Up.”
What new groundbreaking technology will the roll out for “Up”?
They aren’t. It’s a carnival swing ride, but with “Up” decorations.
I wish I were kidding.
Here it is, folks. Disney’s newest ride that will surely show all the competition who’s boss.

Disney is boasting that this attraction will be up and running by the end of the year.
Of course it will. It’s a carnival ride!
“Blending the charm of family attractions with the colorful and adventure-packed world of Pixar’s “Up,” this spinning carousel will offer a bird’s-eye view of the park’s stunning scenery. Construction on the first attraction at a Disney park themed after the beloved movie will begin by the end of 2025.”
This attraction will be located in Adventure Way, across from the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin.
Disney has been boasting about all their summer offerings at Walt Disney World which include both water parks finally being open at once, one new Villains stage show, one rethemed Little Mermaid stage show, character meet and greets, and the new Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade. I admit having a nighttime parade back is fantastic, and this one looks amazing. But overall it’s all relatively low effort and/or low cost. Same with this new “Up” attraction.
It’s just an out-of-the-box carnival attraction with Pixar skin. Why pay for Disney when you can get the same thing at your local amusement park cheaper?
Where did Disney’s “A Game” go? Why do they keep trying to phone it in with quick additions like this one?
