All-Star Sports

Just over a week ago, in our final Sunday Showcase, where we featured Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, we noted that it would be reopening on December 9, 2021. Unfortunately, we just found out today that Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will remain closed until further notice.

As part of this continued closure, Disney’s All-Star Sports resort will be refreshed as well. This will be a huge step forward for this resort, as it is the only resort yet to undergo room and resort refurbishments.

Disney’s All-Star Sports Remains Closed

Today Disney released a statement of its ongoing closure of Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.

At this time, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will remain closed while we take the opportunity to refresh the Sports theme area, and we look forward to sharing a new reopening date for rooms in the Sports theme at a later time.

Guests with upcoming reservations will receive communication via email and will be instructed to reach out to their Travel Professional to modify their stay, at no additional charge. This modification will have no impact to other vacation experiences that may be booked, such as Theme Park reservations or dining.

Additionally, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and Disney’s ALl-Star Music Resorts have both recently reopened.

Other Resort Still Closed

Currently, at Walt Disney World Resort, three of its on-site resorts remained closed. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort

Of the three above, Riverside and French quarter will both be re-opening in October. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside on 10/14 and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter on 10/28.

The World’s Most Magical Celebration

As you may or may not know, Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary begins on October 1, 2021. This celebration will last for 18 months and will features new shows, special events and more. This will be a celebration you and your family do not want to miss!
