When pressed during the Q2 2021 earnings call about its replacement, Disney CEO Bob Chapek was pretty vague.

In an effort to “get an adequate return to our shareholders for the type of experience that we do give to our guests.” Chapek said that a new “park loyalty and affinity program” was being designed for Disneyland resort that would be a “frequent visitor program”, encouraging multiple visits from local guests.
Disney has been surveying guests about a replacement for their AP program, but seemingly haven’t settled on an option yet. It sounds as if they’re thinking of some kind of “punch card” program?
Despite this, Disneyland is seeing some of that “pent up demand” firsthand.
Disneyland closed in March 2020 due to the pandemic, and at the time it was believed to just be a two week shutdown. The park didn’t reopen until April 30, 2021.
